Rudyard Kipling, in full Joseph Rudyard Kipling, (born December 30, 1865, Bombay [now Mumbai], India—died January 18, 1936, London, England), English short-story writer, poet, and novelist chiefly remembered for his celebration of British imperialism, his tales and poems of British soldiers in India, and his tales for children. He received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1907.Kiplings subsequent reputation has changed with the political and social climate of the age. The contrasting views of him continued for much of the 20th century. Literary critic Douglas Kerr wrote: "[Kipling] is still an author who can inspire passionate disagreement and his place in literary and cultural history is far from settled. But as the age of the European empires recedes, he is recognised as an incomparable, if controversial, interpreter of how empire was experienced. That, and an increasing recognition of his extraordinary narrative gifts, make him a force to be reckoned with. The lists below can be found on this app that give some his main works:A Diversity of CreaturesA Fleet in Being Notes of Two Trips With The Channel SquadronA Song of the EnglishAbaft the FunnelActions and ReactionsAmerican NotesAn Almanac of Twelve SportsBarrack Room BalladsCaptains Courageous A Story of the Grand BanksDepartmental Ditties and Barrack Room BalladsFrance at War On the Frontier of CivilizationFrom Sea to Sea; Letters of TravelHow Shakspere Came to Write the TempestIn Black and WhiteIndex for Works of Rudyard KiplingIndian TalesJust So StoriesKimKipling Stories and Poems Every Child Should Know, Book IILand and Sea Tales for Boys and GirlsLetters of MarqueLetters of Travel (1892-1913)Lifes Handicap Being Stories of Mine Own PeoplePlain Tales from the HillsPuck of Pooks HillRewards and FairiesSea WarfareSoldier StoriesSoldiers Three - Part 2Soldiers ThreeSongs from BooksStalky & Co.The Bridge-BuildersThe City of Dreadful NightThe Days Work - Part 01The Days Work - Volume 1The Eyes of AsiaThe Five Nations, Volume IThe Five Nations, Volume IIThe Graves of the FallenThe Irish Guards in the Great War, Volume 1 (of 2).
